A little help from my friends?

Hi all and good morning!  I am reaching out to all byhand members for a little bit of networking help.  Over the last week, I have opened accounts on myspace, facebook, twitter, friendster, and hi5 to help spread the word about my work.  The problem is that I don't have any friends on any of them, so they aren't doing me much good.  If any of you fellow crafters out there have account on these sites, please look me up and add me as a friend.  My real name is Theresa Cole, and I have put the name michiganhemp on all of them in someway or another.  Thanks so much for the help, and if anyone has any suggestions for me, please let me know!

Designing a Dream

The other night I dreamt of a pair of beautiful heart shaped earrings.  The silver would curve in such a way to not look like every other heart shaped, wire worked with rose quartz and silver beads dangling just so.  The next day I sketched my dream image and got to work.  To my frustration, the wire was not working with me.  I created some nice heart shaped earrings that my husband and son thought were "cute", but they were not the amazing images that swirled in my dream fog.

The next day I sat at my worktable and began literally hammering out the wire to create the earrings.  The results were flat silver hearts that left me feeling cold.  So for several days I have not created any new jewelry.  I'm frustrated with this project.   Yell

portable chainmailling?

orbital weave and serpentine choker

Chainmailling is of course portable IMO. As long as I have a clear idea of the weave I'm attempting and have somewhere flattish for jumprings (plus elbow room) I'm usually happy chainmailling al fresco.
It's usually best, if you are supposed to be minding a child, to have a set up that is easy to put down as soon as the first wail for assistance comes thru. For this reason, always identify the start of your weave with a paperclip and be ready to scoop everything into a bag when you resume motherhood.

orbital weave and serpentine choker available here

and there are still some of these scrumptious serpentine beads available here
