CreatNTrade is ByHand's Trading Manager. Use CreatNTrade to list handmade items that you have for trade and make bartering online a whole lot easier! Make requests for what types of items you'd like to trade for when listing. Listing is free, trading is free! CreatNTrade is just another terrific benefit for members of the ByHand community and all registered users can participate.
To put an item up for trade:
Mouse over the Shopping tab and click on CreatNTrade.
Click on Add New Creation.
Fill out the form with the product you are offering for trade, tags, description, retail value, up to 3 pictures, and what types of items you are looking for in exchange.
Hit save.
Your item will now show up in CreatNTrade under the shopping tab. You can view only your listings by mousing over the My Stuff tab and clicking on My Creations.
To request a trade with a listed item:
If you find an item in CreatNTrade that you'd like to have you can make an offer with your item(s) you're willing to trade in exchange by clicking on the Make It Mine Button on that products page. You must have something to offer in trade already listed in CreatNTrade to make an offer on an item or item(s).
The person who listed the item you'd like to have will receive a pm notifying them of your request. She (or he) then has the option of accepting or declining your offer.
Should your offer be accepted, it is then up to the two parties to work out shipping details.
If the offer is declined, both parties can easily re-list their items by clicking on the one button relist option when it is in your Creations folder. Declined items will show up darker when they are not live. Just click the blue arrow and your product will be live again.
Feedback:
There is not a feedback system in place for CreatNTrade at this time. ByHand advises that you check shop feedback on other venues for a member before accepting a trade. Should one party not hold up their end of the trade, please contact admin and let us know what happened. While ByHand cannot intervene to force the other party to fulfill their end of the bargain, we can ban members from ByHand for not living up to their end of the trade.
It is strongly suggested that all items sent for trade be sent with some type of delivery confirmation. The law treats trades equal to purchase transactions and you are responsible for making sure your package reaches it destination or making things right if the package is lost in transit.
What's coming?
The ability to add your CreatNTrade items to Spotlights is coming soon. So stay tuned!
