This is your editor for your blog. As it is it's like the compose page in blogger/blogspot.

Inserting a link is simple. Just highlight the text portion on your blog entry that you want to link. Then click on the closed link icon in the editor. (First icon to the left.) Insert the url you want the text to link to and hit insert. Ta da!

You can do the same thing for pictures. Just click on the image to highlight it, then click on the link icon and enter the url for the link.

But if you want to go back and add a live link you can't can you?

OK so lets work through this,

You are editing the blog, and you have something that you would like to make a hyper link. You highlight the text you want to be the words for the link. Then click on the button that looks like a complete chain. Once you have a popup window should appear. Type in the link url including the http:// part and then click insert. It should then have your words underlined in blue and that would make it a hyperlink. Once you repost your blog it should work.

Only thing else I can think is if you have popups disabled. You need to have the pop up window active to make it work.

There are two other methods. If you do not care about the url showing, you can just type in the whole url including the http:// part and it ussually changes that into a link.

The other, is if you know HTML you can click on the HTML button and manually insert the link that way.

Thanks, I think it must be something with the popups being disabled.
I'll figure it out tomorrow when I'm not half asleep. lol
I know...it's weird...it should have worked fine, but it didn't.

Yeah I think the first time I did it I had not authorized popups from Byhand, and I had a problem, but then I went ahead and authorized all popups from byhand, due to the number that pop up from items like that.

If it doesn't work, let me know and I'll try and find something else to make it work.

OK,where do I go to authorize popups from Byhand?
Is it through a setting on this site or on a computer setting? (I'm on a mac)

It'll be in your browser settings. It should warn you at the top of the screen when one pops up. I have a video to help walk through the inserting of a link if you would like to view it. I have it on YouTube, it's a bit fuzzy (I'm working on a different host that doesn't make it so fuzzy) but you can make it full screen and see everything.
