About Me.

My name is Rebecca D. Dillon and I have a Bachelor in Fine Art from Roanoke College where I studied a bit of everything including photography, screen printing, graphic design, pottery, 3-D design, drawing, painting, art history, poetry and even writing. I enjoy reading and making soap and am self-employed as my sole source of income.

About Rebecca's Soap Delicatessen.

Rebecca's Soap Delicatessen was founded in 2001 and currently sells a line of soaps, lotions, and milk baths across various venues including, until recently, my local city market. My product focus is always on creating the best handmade soaps. You'll find that many of my soaps smell like delicious favorites from the kitchen, and all of her divinely scented soaps contain skin loving ingredients like shea butter, rice bran, coconut, and olive oils. They create a wonderfully, rich lather that you can both shave with or use as a shampoo bar. All of my soaps are made from scratch using the cold process soapmaking method, never a pre-existing base. You'll love the difference my soaps make on your skin.

Fire Fly Jar - Kids Craft Project

My childhood was filled with fun summer nights spent chasing fireflies and putting them in jars. I would fall asleep watching them flicker then set them free in the morning. Now that I have grandkids I am having just as much fun watching them chase fireflies. I decided to make firefly jars as a project at "Grandma Camp" and they were able to do it themselves with very little help from me. I hope you enjoy the video as much as we enjoyed making it. We will be sharing more craft projects in the coming weeks. You can find step by step directions as well as photos here on my website. http://not2crafty.com/?p=608

Website: http://blog.lawrenceatienza.com Follow me on twitter quick tips and ideas http://twitter.com/lawrenceatienza Script Intro: Mediaonela Photography -Weekend photographer -Currently shoot commercial, stock and portrait photography Purpose: As i am at times asked to shoot product photography especially for reflective items it was necessary to create a lightbox to reduce unwanted reflections and ensure wrap around lighting. If you have poor quality product shots due to harsh shadows from direct light or highlights from over exposure..stay tuned. Following this video i will detail a quick how-to on actually taking the photo using the lightbox For this lightbox project you will need the following materials. 1.Arrowhead water box that holds two 2 gallon water containers 2.Ikea bought frosted privacy film for windows 3.box cutter 4.Gaffers tape 5.ruler 6.pen 7.scissors 8.white poster board or any color of your choice for the background 9.3 desk lamps 10.3 Sylvania energy saving 23 watts 120V 60Hz 0.330a Now lets start on the lightbox 1.You will need the arrowhead box 2.the ruler 3.a pen 4.and the box cutter for this step. step 1 place the Arrowhead box with the opening facing you Step 2 You will then need to outline a 1 to two inch border from the edge for the left, right and top Step 3. Now take the box cutter and cut the outline for the 3 sides 1.Step 4. Take the Ikea frosted privacy film and measure to fit each side of the light box from edge to edge and cut it out and prep for application. With the frosted privacy film cut into 3 pieces, place a piece on each of the 3 sides of the arrowhead box and fasten with the gaffers tape. 2.For the last step, take the poster board and DIYmeasure it to fit the inside width of the box, cut and then place into the box. 1.I hope this was helpful and happy shooting. 2.If you would like to see more mods and tips, please visit my blog at www.mediaonela.com/weekendphotographer 3.Tune in for more How-to videos.

This is a club for people who make ACEOS and art cards. ACEOs are small art canvases that can be made of any art medium. The only requirement for an ACEO is that the piece be trading card size ( 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches). Oils, watercolor, photography, altered photography, clay, colored pencils, mixed media collage, fiber, stained glass -- these are just some examples of the types of art that ACEO artists employ. Anyone interested in creating, collecting or learning about the art and artists that make these small gems are invited to come on in and join the creative discussions.

I am the owner and developer of a site which launched in open beta on 2/16 called Soleyne.com. My hopes for Soleyne are enormous. If we could just open the minds of the non-artisan to see there are a whole world of choices beyond retail stores, artisans might finally be able to do what they love to do for a living instead of what they need to do. Please help me to make Soleyne the premier site for art by sharing what constitutes such a site, commenting on adding to functionality, etc.
